NYC: Day 3 (#whatliftsyou)

If any of you guys follow Taylor Swift or Vanessa Hudgens on instagram, you'll recognize the wings! We went on a full on quest to find it & eventually turned the corner in Chinatown and saw it there! Made for some sick pictures.

Anyways--my outfit deets (can I say that?) are so weird today. I was coerced into Hot Topic, the root of my nightmares ever since early middle school days when my friends thought it was a cool idea to buy as many fake piercings as possible. Plus, I have my trusty Walmart shoes which probably cost a total of $5 and I wear way too often, and a dress that cost more than my prom dress did this year.

Free People, stop making such pretty things, please.

NYC: Day 2

Ack, I wanted to post these pictures as I was there but it didn't work out very well. Here are my adventures from day two in the city! We went to Soho (after seeing Enrique on Good Morning America!!!) and did a bunch of shopping.
I wish I had taken more pictures! Oh well. At least I got to wear my overalls...which I found in the dress up bin at my house. You gotta do what you gotta do, you know?

My younger sister and I on the subway. (Gross)(The subway not my sister)(Ok, a little my sister)(That was a joke)(I should stop.)

Enriiiiiqqqquuuueeeee.

NYC: Day 1

Hello from New York City! I'm so lucky my sister lives here. She knows all the good food places and makes sure the rest of my family doesn't get lost in the subway system. I got here yesterday morning and spent the first day walking around everywhere. Here are some pictures from day one in the city!

Using my dog as an accessory

My outfit of the day for today! This crop top reminds me of Kylie Jenner. All I need is her sick blue hair and goddess-like looks. I can already tell a crop top and jean cut offs are going to be my new summer basics.

I'm really sad you can't see my shoes in the grass, they're super rad. I like to think of them as my ugly nurse loafers (no offense, nurses! You rock!). Ugly shoes are my favorite.

My puppy also decided to join in on my outfit pictures today. She's also wearing her own stylish pieces for the pictures. A sweet pink bandana and a totally 90s grunge choker (aka, her collar). She's a babe.

Lana del Birdfeeder

Back from a beach trip with a proper outfit post and a (semi) glistening tan!

I love the simplicity of a monochromatic outfit, it's always so pretty. I also don't think I'll ever get bored of floral crowns. I have one hanging in my car and two on my wall at home as decor. They are so easy to make!

EDIT: I guess I should say I've decided to change my name! Well, blog name. I liked Innominate Mod , but it doesn't really fit and I feel like I'll never get used to it. I've decided my new name (hopefully that will work better for me!) is going to be theresagirlxo. You see? It's a pun. Theresa, There's A. Dad jokes are right up my alley. I like it already.  Changing a blog name is too stressful. Let's pretend none of this happened.

Hello, Summer Concerts: Grouplove + Vampire Weekend

It's an undeniable fact that summer is the high schoolers dream. What more could a 17 year old want with her life? Binge watching Netflix, eating frozen yogurt any & all times possible, and finally being able to wear a favorite crop top and short shorts without too much opposition (although I will say, rocking a belly shirt in a southern, sorority-preppy, suburban town DOES get me just a few judgmental stares).

Basically, summer is my excuse for slacking on blogging. I've been busy, you know? Leaving copious episodes of "Lie To Me" unwatched seems....cruel.
***Side note, I'm now accepting new Netflix series to consider. Please. Help me. I just keep rewatching old Doctor Who's ("Doomsday" is always too soon).

Besides all of my Netflix-ing, I actually have been doing some things. I wanted, mostly, to share with you guys some updates from two concerts I was lucky enough to go to!

Grouplove:

The Grouplove concert was the best I've ever been to. Granted, I've only ever been to four concerts in my short life and one of them was Clay Aiken, but seriously. It was in this tiny, very personal venue and I was literally right in front of them. They had so much energy, and by the end the entire crowd was just as sweaty and disgusting as them. Sounds gross, but in the moment, I promise, it was awesome. My friends originally only agreed to go with me so I wouldn't be alone, but by the end they were thanking me for inviting them. That is how good it was. Go. Find the nearest Grouplove concert.
The concert outfit. Classic "does-this-look-okay???!!!?" picture sent to my friends. Also I didn't brush my hair, but at least I'm showered, right? (Shorts, Bralette from Urban. Crop from F21)

(THAT COAT.)

Vampire Weekend
(Favorites: Step, Hannah Hunt Diane Young)

A good concert, and I definitely don't regret buying tickets. Being in the pit was really fun, I was 4-8 rows back from the stage. Ezra sounds (and looks) fabulous live. I got to the show 3-ish hours early, and it was totally worth it. If you go to a concert, I recommend finding where the bassist, Chris Baio, is standing so you can watch him dance. He kills it, really. If I had to do it all over again, I would stand right in front of him.
My "does-it-even-look-like-I'm-going-to-a-concert" face. I told you, my friends must always approve my concert outfits. I'm not sure why. (Skort from Express. Top is "One Clothing" but I have no clue what that even is, heeyyyy TJMaxx.)

(I know, I know. That quality. But also, that camo...)

What's been your favorite concert? Who is your favorite band? And more importantly, do you have any Netflix recommendations for me?!

Love Your Self(ie)

When I can't coerce my younger sister into taking my pictures for me, I am stuck with two equally grueling options:
A) Don't take pictures. This option, however, is not very desirableespecially when I'm channeling my inner Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake and wearing a denim-on-denim outfit. Honestly, it requires pictures.
B) Take a trilion selfies. On my iPhone.

Please, oh great Selfie Gods, bless these pictures. Especially the one in the bathroom. *sigh*

In other news, I might possibly be going to a Vampire Weekend concert. Please please please.

EDIT: OH MY GOSH I'M SCREaming I bought my tickets, I'm going tomorrow, oh my goodness oh my goodness I'm ecstatic can you tell??! Has anyone seen them in concert before? I'm going to melt (with happiness), right?
